අවට නගරය දුමාරයෙන් වැසී ගොස් ය.

දෙවැනි අදියරේදී අහසින් වැටුනු මිසයිල ප්‍රහාර වලින් ඇතිවූ පිපිරීම් මගින් වහනය වන දුම්, කදුළු ගෑස් සහ අධික වාර්ෂාව නිසා බිහිවූ බොදවී ගිය නගරය පැරණි තෙල් සායමින් ඇදී යුද විරෝධී චිත්‍රයක් වෙනිය.එම චිත්‍රයට මිනිසා හා ස්වභාවධර්මය යන දෙපාර්ශ්වයම දායක වී සිටියේය. මෙය ඉතාම සියුම් මෙන්ම සංකීර්ණ මානසික උත්චේදනයක් ලබා දෙන මොහොතක් විය.

මෙම ඉතාම ව්‍යාකුල අවස්ථාව තුල මනුෂ්‍ය චින්තනයෙ ඇතිවිය හැකි සිතුවිලි හොද හෝ නරක ලෙස වෙන්කර හැදින්විය නොහැක. ඉතාම අපැහැදිලි වූ සිතුවිලි වරුසාවකින් මනස තෙමි බරවී තිබිය හැකිය. ව්‍යාධිය, වේදනාව හා කෝපය යන කළු ධුමරය නිසා මිනිසාගේ සිත බිදී ගියා විය හැක.

අවට වෙඩි තැබීම හා පිපිරීම් ක්‍රමක්‍රමයෙන් නැවත ඇරබිමෙන් බිදීගිය නගරය මෙන්වූ සිත, කය හා හදවත් ඇත්ත්තාවුන් මේ පාළු නිසරු බිමේ මන්දගාමිව පන අදිමින් යථාර්තය හා මෙහෙයුමේ අරමුණ සොයනු ඇත. තත්ත්වය එතරම් බරපතලය. දෙපාර්ශවයටම එතරම් හානිවන අයුරින් යුධ බිමේ දෙවන අදියර සාර්ථක වී ඇත්තේය.

අසල බිදි ගිය ගසකි. ගොඩනැගිලි ගරා වැටේ. මහා මාර්ග තුළ අතහැර ගිය වාහන එලසම පවතී. තැනින් තැන වැටි ඇති මළ මිනි සාමාන්‍ය ජනතාව ලෙස හෝ යුධ බටයන් ලෙස වෙන්කර හදුනාගත නොහෙකි වන අයුරින් අවට පරිසරය අදුරු මෙන්ම අපැහැදිලි වී ඇත. තම දෑස තුල මැවි පෙන්නෙ හුදු මායාවක් ද යැයි සිතීමට තරම් මනුෂ්‍යකුට මෙම දර්ශණ් පෙළ සිතෙහි කොනක සගවා නැවත මතකයට එන නොඑන ලෙස ගබඩා කිරීමට ඔහු අවශ්‍යය වනු ඈත.

මේ තත්ත්වය නිසා සිතට දැනෙන නව චින්තන දාරාවන් පැහැදිලි කිරීමට ඔහුගේ භාෂා භාවිතය, පුහුණුව හෝ පෙර අත්දකීම් තුලින් ලද මානසික පරිණත බව ප්‍රමාණවත් නොවුන ඇත.

ඔහු කලාකරුවක් නම්, ඡයාරුපය ශිල්පයක් නම්, සාහිත්‍යකරුවක් නම් මෙම ලේකනගත කල ඔහුගේ දුක්කදායක අත්දැකිම්, වේදනාකාරී අතීතය නියම හා සුක්ෂම අයුරින් අදාල කලා මාධ්‍ය හරහා ජනතාකරණය කලේනම් ඔහු ජගත් කලාශිල්පයකු වනු ඇත. මෙම මොහොත එතරම් සංකිර්න අවස්ථාවක් විය.

දෙවන අදියර සිදුවුයේ නගරයේ හදවතේය. ඒ වනවිටත් නගරයේ මුලික ස්ථාන කිහිපයක් තුල සටන් ආරම්බ වි තිබිණ. නගරය තුළට අහසින් පැරචුට් හරහා මෙන්ම රථවාහන වලින්ද යුධ හමුදා මෙන්ම ත්‍රස්තයන් ද එකතු විය. බලාපොරොත්තු නොවූ යුධ පෙරමුණක් වූ මෙය ජීවිත හානි විශාල ප්‍රමනයක් වැලක්විය නොහැකි විය.

සටන මුලික ව හමුදාවන් අතර සිදුවුවද පරිසරය හා පලායන්න්ගේ මානසිකත්වය වෙනස් වුයේ බලාපොරත්තු නොවූ මිසියිල වරුසවකිනි. එසැනින් සිදවූ මෙය නගරය දෙදරුම් කවමින් ක්ෂණියකින් සටන නිහැඩියාවකට ලක් කළේය. මෙම පාවා දීමෙන් පසු සටන ගැන මොහොතකට දෙපර්ශවයට පසෙකට වී කල්පනා කරන්න ට විය හැක. සමහරුන් නොදෙනුවත්වම ජීවිත පුදකළා විය හැක, සටන මෙහෙය වු නායකයින් බියෙන් මනෝ විකාරයෙන් සිටිනු ඇත. එලෙස විනාශ වූ නගරය වෙඩි හඩවල් තෙනින් තෙන ඇසුනද සමස්තයක් ලෙස අවසන් මොහොත ට මුහුණ දුන්නේ ය.

යුධ බටයන් දෙදෙනෙක් නගරයේ ධුමාරයේ මැදින් තම හැකි අයුරින් දිව්වේ ය.

දෙවන අදියර බලාපොරොත්තු නොවූ සටන් ප්‍රහරයක් නිසා බිද වැටුණු සංග්‍රාමයක් නිසා මෙහෙයුම් අසාර්තක වි ඇති බව සිත්මින්දෝ ඔවුන් වේගයෙන් නගරයේ නැවති හැරගිය රථ වාහන අතරින් දිව ගියේය.

ඔවුන්ගේ ශරීරය වර්ෂාවත් සමග තෙත්වී මඩ තැවරී  ඉතාම අපිරිසිදු ස්වභාවයෙන් ගත්තේය. දෙදෙනා තුළම මන්ද මානසික ස්වාබවයකින් හැසිරෙන බවක් පෙනුනේය. ඒ බෝම්බ ගැසිමත් සමග සිදිවු ශ්‍රවණයට වන වූ හානි දැයි සැක සහිත ය. වර්ෂාව හා පරිසරයෙ දුමාරය ශීඝ්‍ර ලෙස ඉහල ගියේය.

පාවා දීමත් සමග ව්‍යාකුල වූ සෝල්දදුවන් දෙදෙනා නගරය තුල අතුරුදහන් විය.

Chester Bennington and Linkin Park : A tribute to an American Singer (1976 - 2017)

Chester Charles Bennington was an American singer, songwriter, and actor. He was best known as the lead singer for the rock band Linkin Park, and also served as the frontman for Dead By Sunrise.

Chester on July 20th of 2017 was found dead due to suicide by hanging. He was found to be addicted to substances. And also he was considered to be heavily mentally depressed. Many of the band's albums have depicted these factors in their songs and how to overcome them through emotional struggle.

I heard Linkin Park's songs since 2006 and they were an iconic band among the global and Sri Lankan foreign rock music fans. But for me, I was alienated due to a lack of exposure to western media and entertainment. I may have listened to Linkin Park randomly but without proper analysis or sequence.

But after my primary, secondary and tertiary education or schooling in 2010, I was exposed to Linkin Park from 2010 to 2011 when I was at home till my higher education started.

One of my friends from the Association of Accounting Technicians - Sri Lanka (AATSL), final level gave me Hybrid Theory (2000), Meteora (2003), Minutes to Midnight (2007) and A Thousand Suns (2010) which were their initial albums.

Many of these albums and visuals were lead by the vocals of Mr. Chester Bennington and he showed the reflection of loss, depression, helplessness, confusion, fear and also the opposite of these which were the main themes of there songs. His voice variations and excessive screaming created an emotional impact based on themes of the songs, and it was very innovative for there time taking a new turn in rock music.

Later albums like Living Things (2012), The Hunting Party (2014) and One more light (2017) were personally followed up by me which was somewhat different in the band's approach to music.

Chester Bennington and Linkin Park take a major place in my playlist on my phone and even in my head. He was an amazing American rock singer and I have my fullest gratitude for him and his dedication to the art.

May this article be a tribute to his dedication and work in the field of music.

It's a technology which allows video calling but with more features enabling more expression and emotion.

"Txt" is shortened word for text messages.

Many cultural and social changes constantly happen due to technology and it's advancements.

This is a story of modern communication and humans.

I see around ten to twelve digital screens every day.

Many of my strategic level analysis are also calculated in a tailor made dashboard.

I talk to my wife sometimes. We've been married for only six months. Our relationships since it's an arranged marriage is a bit of confusing and wee bit deranged.

We're working on it. Since we're both working full time professionals, my understanding on her afterlife or personal life is some what similar.

Since our distance physically and mentally started creating a vacuum in our new life, we bought 'txt'.

'txt' is like a "couple sim"/"Prepaid double" mobile phone connections like back in the day when I used to study for my ordinary level (O/L) exams in my teen years. But "couple SIM" or "Prepaid double" packages solely focused on the economic benefit and call time among two people.

'Txt' provides more. It's a 360 service provider building a stronger relationship among 2 people.

It's a bit costly. But we both share the bill. It has created an alternate universe for us. We kept talking, messaging, joking and even shared lunch in our work places using 'txt'.

We are more digitally closer now.

My performance reviews have been negatively affected due to this immense communication.

But still she likes it. I think her superiors have advised her to use 'txt' in a manner not impacting the work life.

And also since it is even prescribed as medicinal therapy by many doctors, therapists and also contractually enabled by human resources team it's in our side.

By now while I'm giving a five star rating to 'txt' services we've been having a mental emoji fun discussion during our morning tea.

Things have been pretty good in my marriage life since 'txt'. Though my professional life is a bit screwed up. Hope it lasts.

Some what confused with a dual thought process I switched off 'txt' so I could slow down my brain. I meditated for 20 seconds. Looked out the window.

All the endless urban city bursting with life.

I moved into my dashboard to start working.
