Is love political or not, is love the reason for the beginning of literature or the other way around.
All these aspects of love were discussed during the event where I participated in 2020.02.13. at Sri Lanka Foundation Institute, Colombo.
A social activist/politician, a journalist and two female writers participated and a famous social media activist hosted the event.
The books they authored which were analyzed during the event can be shared as follows.
(01)Ayithikarayo Baaranogath Liyum Seeyak (One Hundred Misplaced Letters) By Milinda Rajapaksha
(02) Dawasak daa Handawaka (Reflections at Dusk) : Rasika Jayakody
(03) Lilac - Yesha Fernando
(04) Beera Suwandathi Haadu ( Beer Scented Kisses ): Dilshi Thathsarani Abeyraja
The host was Shenal Gunasekara.
This literature-based event that took place on the day prior to Valentine's day was special because Mr. Gunasiri Silva and Mr. Mohan Raj Madawala also participated and shared their ideas with the audience.
I went there with my friend Mr. Kavindya Piyasumana.
I went there with my friend Mr. Kavindya Piyasumana.
This event started at 6 PM and went on till 10 PM, but I was only their till 9 PM.
With the modern Sri Lankan Sinhalese literature facing a crisis in lack of discourse, this event can be considered as a successful and useful event.
